People's attitudes around spiders are going to change throughout Pluto in Aquarius. Scorpio and Aquarius rule arachnids and their webs, as well as related elements like storms and static electricity.
There will be some hugely transformative shifts in perspective and culture involving spiders, and far more scientific information about spiders will be discovered. The science of spiders will see some fast paced developments.
The evolution of spiders will be rapid paced during Pluto in Aquarius. They may evolve to become bigger or smarter, with larger brain size, and they may evolve to become more social rather than solitary. Spider gatherings, networks, or clusters may start to be seen more often.
Arachnophobia is a highly common phobia across the world, and our culture leans towards an intense hatred of spiders. People commonly joke about killing them, torturing them, being unable to exist near them, or burning the house down because of them.
I'm personally not an arachnophobe and have always loved spiders without fear, but for as long as I've been alive I've noticed how spiders have been despised in the world around me.
This culture will change drastically during Pluto in Aquarius, and the tides of public opinion will shift for spiders. Suddenly people's hate for them wont be so encouraged or enabled. The overdramatization will no longer be funny to others, that gag will become stale and old.
It will become more commonplace to love spiders. People will grow to appreciate them, or at least respect them, even if they're an arachnophobe.
People with arachnophobia are sure to be triggered by this transit at first. Some people with arachnophobia may be helped or cured through exposure therapy, both willingly or unwillingly.
Formal spider exposure therapy could become a more common practice.
We may hear about people who had extreme fears of spiders making a complete 180ยบ turn, becoming spider obsessed, or becoming an influencer based around spiders or a spider conservationist.
The irrational fear of spiders is theorised to be more cultural than it is genetic or instinctual. It is learned and promoted among socialisation, and in the way it is depicted. Pluto in Aquarius will highlight this data, the sociology of spiders will be researched and discussed, and other cultures who celebrate spiders will be mentioned in contrast. The Aboriginal Australian culture is one such example.
I am expecting some notable 'spider events' to happen during Pluto in Aquarius.
Burrowing spiders and trapdoors may be mentioned in particular as Pluto rules the underground and its chambers. There may be some kind of environmental event involving spiders coming out from under the ground.
This may link in with the chaotic and unusual animal behaviour that occurs during this transit, especially before or after wild weather and natural disaster events, or perhaps as a response to environmental destruction/pollution at the hands of humans.
Other spider events could include their webs or electricity. Spiders fly using electricity and can cover the earth in their web. Spider rain, and spider snow.
